Prepping the boat (Jan. 6 - 8):

We all arrive in Melbourne. Scott flew in from Sydney on Friday. Rossi flew in from Brisbane. The dudes drive in from...wherever it was the dudes were driving in from. I stayed an extra day in Sydney, met Daniel at the airport and the two of us flew into Melbourne on Saturday. Thanks to Mess for picking us up at the airport. Yeah...thanks. We got lost 5 times driving from the airport to Sandringham Yacht Club. Ya had to send Messenger....didntchya! The boys spent the weekend fixing up the charter boat.

The rudder that came with the charter boat had a CRACK in it. So after much scrambling they find one to borrow and work begins on that. Mess and Daniel working on the rudder. Mess holding a tool (given to us by Margaret) that literally saved the day:
